Watering like this is much faster!

The Homewood Fire department showed up at the garden to do some training. They were nice enough to help with watering the garden!

So much basil!

We harvested the basil last night. It was amazing how much came off just 2 plants! We made a lot of pesto and froze it so the kids at the middle school can eat it when summer is over

Great work day!

Saturday, June 8, was our first "Second Saturday" volunteer work day. It went great and I hope everyone who came out knows how much I appreciate it. We got so much done! The "Second Saturday" of every month will now be our volunteer work day.

Second Saturdays work days

We are starting 2nd Saturdays June 8 at 8:00.  This will be our regular volunteer work day now- every 2nd Saturday of the month. This will be a great time for us to all work together in the garden and see it progress. Bring your gloves, tools and any cardboard you can get your hands on. June 8 we hope to cover the hill where the blueberries are with cardboard and mulch
